And, after you've enjoyed strolling around Frigiliana and lazing by the large communal pool, pop down to the beaches at Nerja which are only 3 miles (4 kms) away. If you don't want to drive, take the local bus which runs up and down every half hour in summer.
When you're looking to be a little more active there are excellent walks in the nearby mountains of the Sierra Almijara and the beautiful Natural Park.
For sporting types, there's tennis in Nerja and golf at the Baviera Golf Club, an easy 20 minute drive away.
Frigiliana is also an ideal base from which to visit the wonderful historic Andalucian cities of Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Malaga.
