The nearest airport is Malaga. A 70km drive. This journey can be made by self drive car, alternatively there is a bus service or taxi.
Nerja lies on the M340 coastal motorway and the journey from Malaga airport takes approximately 50 mins. Distances
Being adjacent to the N340, Nerja offers the advantage of speedy travel and easy access from the airport. Costa del Sol, Marbella, Gibraltar, Benalmadena and Malaga are within easy driving, while the Sierra Almijara Mountains give a scenic backdrop to the town. Further details
It is a short drive to the largest caves in Europe, the famous Nerja Caves. On occasion concerts are held there. Also close by is the pictureque village of Friglina, dating back to the 15century with its cobbled streets and white walled houses. There are also hill walking trails and details can be found at the local tourist office. A little further a field you can visit Seville, Malaga and Cordoba or take the crossing to Tangiers.
